Kibbutz Gonen is located in the northern Hula Valley, at the foothills of the Golan Heights. It can be reached via one of the most beautiful roads in Israel, the so called "Patrol Route", surrounded on both sides by thick eucalyptus trees, which served to protect travelers during the years before the Six-Day War, when the Syrian border was several hundred yards to the east of it.
Near the kibbutz are many springs and brooks and it overlooks on the beautiful landscape of the Hula Valley and Naphtali Mountains to the west. A glance to the east would reveal the savage boulders and the famous basalt rocks of the Golan Heights.
Gonen Holiday Village location allows easy access to many outdoor activities such as horseback riding, bicycling, quad biking, off-road vehicle tours and of course private car tours and hiking treks. Also in its vicinity there are boutique restaurants and pubs.
